Check your email for a contract from Pine Cove (what you signed when we hired you!) This will contain the exact date you are expected to arrive at camp. 

For a general rule of thumb: if you are training in a specific job (lifeguard, ropes, boats, chaos, health assistant, etc.) you are required to attend training week.

No worries! A large handful of our staff every year have never stepped foot on Pine Cove property until they worked here over the summer! You don't need to be a former camper to jump in and have the summer of your life here at the Shores.

Hooray - you get 24 hours off each week from Noon on Saturday to Noon on Sunday! You can do laundry, hang with family/ friends, and explore the great city of Tyler. 

If you have a commitment outside of those 24 hours off: just like any other job, you have to ask for specific days off from your boss & get it approved in order to leave. 

As a general rule of thumb: very few events qualify for time off outside of the weekend. (We only have our campers on property 6-13 days and we're only here for 6-12 weeks, so we want to make the most out of it and stay present!
